Chairman
Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
I share a legacy with Cathy of our fathers working together for the greater good and safety of Los Angeles County and the Los Angeles County Fire Department. When my father, Kenny Hahn was serving as Second District Supervisor for the County, Cathy's dad, Earl Dunn served as Local 1014 Union President for the LA County Firefighters.
Together our fathers worked together to create the three platoon shift system our firefighters enjoy today as well as enhanced pension and health benefits.
Cathy and I share that same collaborative spirit as we have worked together with the rest of the Whittier City Council to provide services and programs for the residents of Whittier.
Additionally, Cathy has provided leadership for the Los Angeles County Sanitation District in her role as chairman of District 2. Because of this capacity, she and I have collaborated closely to help facilitate successful labor negotiations for the District.
As we continue to work on the issues facing residents of Whittier and Los Angeles County, I am proud to have a great partner in Cathy Warner.
It is with great pleasure that AFSCME Local 18 endorses Cathy Warner for re-election to the Whittier City Council - District 3. Cathy has demonstrated exceptional leadership as Chair of the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts' Board of Directors, showing her ability to navigate complex issues with grace and effectiveness.
Cathy's leadership consistently embodies fairness, transparency, and accountability. Her collaborative nature and remarkable skill in building bridges have led to tangible improvements in our communities. She has become an invaluable asset in driving progress.
Cathy's experience as a Councilmember and Mayor of Whittier highlights her commitment to serving the needs of her constituents. Her deep understanding of local issues, coupled with her tireless advocacy for community betterment, has garnered the trust and respect of residents and colleagues alike. Cathy's ability to listen, empathize, and effectively address constituent concerns sets her apart as a true champion of the people.
We wholeheartedly endorse Cathy Warner for re-election to the Whittier City Council - District 3, confident that she will continue to serve with the utmost integrity, passion, and effectiveness. We urge all residents to support Cathy's re-election and join us in building a brighter future for Whittier.
